A constant theme throughout my artwork is the celebration of people of color, specifically Black women. As a young Black woman myself, I've experienced many struggles with finding value and beauty in myself being faced with an intersection of racism, colorism, and misogyny from many different angles. In my work, I highlight Black women as my muse, and depict them in ways that hopefully show them that they are deserving of such spotlight and celebration. Though my work isn't highly political, it touches on subjects and themes that are based off of my own experiences and that I believe resonates with many viewers.
