Screen Prep Basics
Are you curious on how your image goes from a drawing or digital file and magically appears as a stencil on a screen?
This private lesson is perfect to take soon after the Intro to Screen Printing workshop as we go over all the head scratching steps: choosing the right screen for your project, proper coating and exposing techniques, prepping the screen for printing, and finally reclaiming the screen where it’s ready to use for a new project. We’ll also review squeegees and inks, plus a general overview of file set-up for both paper and fabric.
This lesson is also a great refresher for those that either took a screen printing workshop years ago, or print out of other studios – and want to schedule open studio hours to get back into it.
PLEASE NOTE: this workshop does not go over printing, only prep work.
